SBS believes there is no greater therapeutic power than when one addict/alcoholic selflessly
helps another recovering person. SBS believes to have a direct insight into the psyche of
the addicted. We, who have also practiced the process of recovery, intuitively know the
signs of the disease of addiction. We therefore can better identify, and then address the
individual needs of our clients and residents.
We of SBS believe to have an unequalled connection to a person who suffers from this
cunning, baffling and powerful disease.
SBS provides structured, safe and affordable housing for those in recovery. We give the
client an opportunity to hone their financial management, day to day living
responsibilities, lifestyles, and community ties.
They learn of these adaptations through attendance in 12 step meetings, spiritual programs,
work shops and job training. All of these curriculums are a mandatory part of SBS’s code of
conduct and house rules.
